Don’t Just Run—Live Like What You’re Pursuing Matters

Your life with God was never meant to be lived casually or without purpose. Just as a runner enters a race with the finish in mind, you are called to approach your walk with Christ with intention, discipline, and a clear understanding that how you live matters. There will always be distractions competing for your attention and moments when discipline feels more difficult than comfort, but spiritual growth requires choosing what strengthens your pursuit of God rather than simply doing what feels easiest in the moment. Jesus demonstrated this kind of focused life, remaining committed to the Father’s will and refusing to allow distractions or opposition to pull Him away from His purpose. As you deepen your personal relationship with God, allow Him to show you where greater discipline and intentionality are needed—not to earn His love, but because your life has been given a purpose worth pursuing. Every prayer, obedient decision, surrendered habit, and intentional choice can move you toward becoming more like Christ.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run,

but only one gets the prize?Run in such a way as to get the prize.

1 Corinthians 9:24 NIV
