God’s Patience With You Is an Invitation to Come Closer

God’s goodness toward you is never permission to remain unchanged; it is a loving invitation to turn toward Him. His kindness, patience, and mercy give you room to recognize what needs to change and respond to Him with a sincere heart rather than taking His grace for granted. Repentance is more than feeling sorry about a wrong choice; it involves a change of heart that leads you away from sin and back into alignment with God. Jesus continually demonstrated both truth and grace, calling people away from sin while making it clear that forgiveness and a transformed life were available to those who turned to Him. As you deepen your personal relationship with God, allow His goodness to make your heart more responsive to correction, not more comfortable with compromise. When He reveals an attitude, habit, decision, or area of your life that needs to change, His conviction is an opportunity to respond, surrender, and grow. God’s goodness is not overlooking what needs to change; it is giving you the opportunity to turn toward Him and become changed by His grace.

Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering,

not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

Romans 2:4 NKJV
