Stand Firm—God Can Make Today’s Battle Part of Your Yesterday

Fear does not have to decide how you respond when the situation in front of you feels bigger than your ability to overcome it. There are moments when you have done what you know to do, yet the problem remains, the way forward seems impossible, and everything within you wants to panic or retreat. In those moments, God can call you to a different posture: stand firm and trust Him. Jesus reminds you that your peace does not have to depend on having control of the outcome because your life is secure in God’s hands. As you deepen your personal relationship with God, learn to recognize when faith requires action and when it requires you to stop striving, remain steady, and allow Him to do what you cannot do for yourself. What feels permanent today may only be a chapter God is bringing to an end. You may not know how deliverance will come, but you can refuse to let fear convince you that what you see right now is all there will ever be. Stand firm. God can bring you through what you thought you would never get beyond.
Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.”
