Stay Humble—God Knows When It's Time to Lift You Higher

There is freedom in knowing you do not have to prove yourself, promote yourself, or force your way into places God has not called you to be. True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is recognizing your need for God and willingly surrendering your plans, pride, and desire for control to Him. Jesus modeled humility perfectly, choosing obedience to God's will rather than seeking recognition or elevating Himself. As you deepen your personal relationship with God, allow Him to reveal the areas where self-reliance may be keeping you from fully depending on Him. Humbling yourself before the Lord means trusting His wisdom above your own, remaining teachable when He corrects you, and allowing Him to determine how and when you move forward. You do not have to compete for recognition or convince others of your worth. Stay humble, remain faithful, and let God be responsible for lifting you into every place He has prepared for you.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
