What You Give Can Become Someone Else’s Reason to Thank God

Serving others has an impact that can reach far beyond the need you see in front of you. When you willingly give your time, resources, encouragement, or practical help, you have an opportunity not only to meet a need but also to become part of what God is doing in someone else’s life. Jesus consistently demonstrated this kind of generosity, seeing people with compassion and responding to their needs in ways that revealed the heart of God. As you deepen your personal relationship with God, allow Him to make you increasingly aware of opportunities to serve without needing recognition or something in return. What may seem like a simple act of generosity to you can become an answered prayer, needed relief, or timely reminder to someone else that God sees and cares for them. Your willingness to give can accomplish more than providing what is needed in the moment; it can turn someone’s heart toward gratitude and praise. What leaves your hands in service to others can return to God as thanksgiving.

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people

but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

2 Corinthians 9:12 NIV
