When All You Can Pray Is “Lord, Help Me”

You never have to hide the urgency of your need from God. There are moments when you do not need carefully arranged words or a long prayer—you simply need the Lord to help you. When your heart is burdened by the weight of what you are carrying, you can call on Him honestly, knowing that He already sees the depth of your need. Jesus makes it possible for you to approach God freely, bringing your weakness, your failures, and your deepest concerns into His presence instead of trying to manage everything alone. As you deepen your personal relationship with God, become comfortable calling on Him with both faith and honesty, even when all you can say is, “Lord, I need You.” Asking Him to come quickly is not a lack of faith; it is an expression of dependence on the Lord you know is able to save, sustain, and help you. When your need feels urgent, your prayer can be simple: Lord, come quickly. I know where my help comes from.

Come quickly to help me,

my Lord and my Savior.

Psalm 38:22 NIV
