God's Word Doesn't Just Teach You—It Helps You Grow

God has given you His Word as a trustworthy source of instruction, wisdom, and guidance for living a life that honors Him. The Bible is more than something to read for encouragement or turn to when you need an answer; it is also meant to teach you what is right, reveal what needs to change, and help you develop godly character. Sometimes, what you read will reassure you of God's promises, while other passages may challenge your thinking, confront certain behaviors, or reveal areas where you need to grow. Both are valuable because spiritual maturity requires a willingness to receive encouragement as well as correction. As you deepen your personal relationship with God, approach Scripture with a heart that is ready to learn and apply what He reveals. Rather than reading only the passages that make you feel good, allow His Word to address the areas of your life that may be uncomfortable to examine. Through Jesus Christ, you have an example of living in obedience to God's truth, and the Holy Spirit helps you understand and put His teachings into practice.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness”

2 Timothy 3:16 NIV
