The Grace Christ Gave You Is Grace You Can Give to Others

The way Christ has received you can shape the way you receive other people. Acceptance does not require you to agree with every opinion, overlook harmful behavior, or abandon healthy boundaries; it calls you to resist allowing differences to become reasons to withhold grace, respect, or kindness. Jesus did not wait for you to become perfect before extending His grace to you, and remembering how patiently He has dealt with your own weaknesses can change the way you respond to the imperfections of others. As you deepen your personal relationship with God, ask Him to reveal where pride, judgment, personal preferences, or unrealistic expectations may be making it difficult for you to make room for someone else. Choose to see people as more than the differences that separate you, and allow the way you treat them to reflect what you have received from Christ. When His grace becomes the standard for how you receive others, even your relationships can become an expression of praise to God.

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
